"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

You are here for a reason. The central theme of the Bible is that you may know of God’s love for you and all people. Jesus came to this earth to die for you, so that you may have a relationship with God. All you have to do is believe and accept this free gift!

Why Do we Need to be Saved?

God created us in his image, giving us freedom of choice and our own will. We chose to become masters of our own lives rather than follow God’s ways, which has led us to make mistakes and do things that are wrong. This sin in our lives has caused a separation between people and God. Because of this sin, we are destined to die and experience eternal separation from God. (Romans 6:23)

Can Eternal Life be Earned?

Many people try to bridge this separation on their own, reasoning that if they are good enough, smart enough or strong enough they can save themselves through their works. However Isaiah 59:2 reads, “But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you.” No matter how hard we try, all of us are imperfect, and have made mistakes.

How Can I Have a Relationship with God?

1 Timothy 2:5 tell us, “For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” Jesus lived a perfect life, and through his death, provided the way for us to find our way back to God. While we were still sinners, Jesus died for us so that we might become a part of God’s family and call him "Father."  (Romans 5:8)

What Must I Do to be Saved?

In Revelation 3:20, Jesus says, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.” Romans 10:9 tells us, “If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead, you will be saved.” It doesn't matter what you have done in the past, or where you are right now, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9) You can ask Jesus to come into your life right now.

If you would like to bridge the gap in your relationship with God right now, you can pray this prayer:

Dear Lord, I know that I have made mistakes and have sinned against you. I am sorry for the sins I have committed and I need your forgiveness. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross for me, rose from the dead and are alive today. I want you to come into my heart and my life. I want to trust you and follow you as Lord. I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
